Alberta nurses rally for respect

It was a loud day outside the Legislature Building as more than 1,000 Alberta nurses joined thousands of other public sector workers at the Rally for Respect on October 24, 2024. UNA members rallied to send a message to the Alberta government that Alberta nurses deserve respect, safe staffing, and better working conditions.

UNA members joined members of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta, Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, Alberta Teachers' Association and Non-Academic Staff Association in solidarity with education support workers represented by CUPE Local 3550 who are the latest group of Alberta workers to fall victim to the United Conservative Party Government’s interference with the collective bargaining process.
